Department: Inflight Services Department (ISD)


This role assists Resource Planning & Projects Manager principly via the management of Inflight Service Delivery’s (ISD) IT portfolio. He/she will be involved in conducting strategic research and analysis in order to make recommendations that improve the productivity and sentiment of cabin crew, as well as the performance and efficiency of back office functions. He/she will be a highly collaborative team player to coordinate and implement initiatives with a number of other departments, especially IT and Flight Operations (FOP). He/she will also manage a portfolio of projects that ISD will implement and provide project consultancy service to support ISD Project Managers and teams in project delivery - from scoping to benefit realisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support systems owned by the team to set requirements and logic if system enhancement is required and perform User Acceptance Test (UAT)
  • Manage the IT project portfolio, including the project management of individual projects
  • ISD Portfolio Management to ensure all requirements are captured and identify synegies within projects to minimise duplication of efforts
  • Support Airline Planning with their route studies by analysing manpower requirements
  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end process from registration, support business case development, evaluation, prioritisation, to monitoring and tracking benefits
  • Project Development and prioritisation
  • Drive key projects development, change and be able to pull stakeholders
  • Responsible for planning (including scoping, business case development, high level business requirement collection/Business Process Reengineering (BPR)), development, implementation (risk/change management), benefits realisation
  • Project Consulting
  • Provide coordination support/advice/counsel to Project Managers of key ISD projects identified in ISD Scorecard / Portfolio
  • Focus on supporting key areas: Scoping, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Key stakeholders management,  Risk management, Benefits realisation plan
  • Fully support ISD quality and safety outcomes including implementation and monitoring of safety and quality activities and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements, organisational standards and approved procedures
  • Ensure the integrity of Cathay Pacific Group cabin safety policies and procedures are maintained at all times by accurate record keeping



  • University graduate with at least 5 years relevant work experience in airline industry
  • Good understanding of all areas in Inflight Service Delivery
  • Strong strategic planning ability with excellent analytical skills and interpreting figures
  • Tech Savvy and Strong project management skills
  • Good knowledge of Business Process Re-engineering (BPR)
  • Good leadership, planning, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to challenge status quo and facilitating discussions with business users and multiple parties
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
