Job description

 

Purpose

Analyse digital sales performance and provide insights and recommendations on all aspects of digital sales activity, in order to grow website traffic, increase digital sales revenue and improve the customer experience.

 

Key responsibilities and tasks

 

  • Manage the digital insights function, acting as the digital data ‘champion’ and analytics subject matter expert
  • Analyse performance of website and key digital channels and present insights and recommendations to key internal stakeholders
  • Review digital sales data and provide regular and specific performance reporting on products, channels, content, activity and key customer segments to increase website conversion and grow digital sales
  • Identify performance anomalies and sales opportunities and provide recommendations for mitigation or opportunity capitalisation
  • Share insights on customer data and behaviour to improve the customer experience and grow sales from key customer segments
  • Track and analyse digital campaigns for campaign planning, optimisation and post campaign evaluation
  • Support stakeholder self-service reporting with analytics dashboards, custom reporting and training
  • Provide insights for product planning, merchandising, performance and testing
  • Identify and pursue potential improvements in business processes, products or digital activity to improve sales conversion and support brand excellence
  • Conduct in-depth project and bespoke analysis as required
  • Identify online travel trends and conduct competitor analysis in Australian market
  • Liaise with Digital teams in head office on analytics and digital development
  • Understand your role and be an active participant in any airline Emergency and Accident (E&A) incident or training to support the Direct Sales team.

 

Qualifications/Expertise

 

  • Degree qualified in Ecommerce, Marketing, Business or IT disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2C ecommerce or digital marketing, with a focus on analytics and performance tools and frameworks
  • In depth knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing channels and processes, including SEO; SEM; social; EDM; CRO; website merchandising; segmentation; tagging; display; programmatic; retargeting; test and target.
  • Broad understanding of website and marketing technology landscape and specific hands-on experience with key platforms including CMS, analytics, test and target, social
  • Commercial acumen with strong research and analytical skills and numeracy
  • Experience in performance based digital campaigns
  • Ability to personally present insights and recommendations to team and management
  • Advanced skills in using Google Analytics Premium
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and proficient in MS applications
  • Basic HTML and Adobe Experience Manager skills preferred
  • Experience working for a premium or global brand
  • Exposure to Agile and LEAN practices
  • Passion for travel and all things digital
  • Aviation or travel industry experience preferred but not essential.
